Bridge-K: Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum age for your Bridge-K program?

Bridge-K students must turn 5 years old by March 31st of their Bridge-K year.

Are there any requirements for Bridge-K admissions?

Yes – in addition to meeting the minimum age limit noted above, a Bridge-K student uses the toilet independently and displays Bridge-K readiness during our on-site faculty observation and in the child’s teacher evaluation.

Do children in Bridge-K have nap time?

We are required by the state to have a 30 minute rest period. Students will have this break every afternoon with the lights turned off. However, our staff will not work to “make” students sleep during this time. They will be offered some quiet, individual activities such as puzzles or books.
