Oakland Hebrew Day School is dedicated to providing an outstanding, dual-curriculum education to children from a broad spectrum of Jewish backgrounds.  Our goal is to give every child at OHDS a positive Jewish identity while living in a uniquely diverse general community in the Bay Area.

This journey begins with you.  Your gift to OHDS is a statement about your belief in the centrality of the Jewish day school as a community-building institution, vital to the development of Jewish identity and future Jewish life.

Direct gifts, community events and activities throughout the school year help us reach our fundraising goals.  You are invited to support these activities in a variety of ways:

• Contribute to one of the OHDS Family of Annual Funds.  Writing a check to OHDS is a simple and direct way to contribute.  Cash contributions entitle you to a tax deduction for the amount of the gift.

• Fun(d)raising Events.  Sponsor an event, volunteer, or simply attend and enjoy.  To learn about upcoming events, visit our Community Events page.

• Honoraria & Memorials. Commemorate birthdays, simchas or milestones in the lives of friends and family members, or remember loved ones by making a contribution to OHDS in their names.

• Matching Gifts. Many corporations and companies will match or multiply gifts made by employees.  Contact your personnel office for information.

• Planned Gifts.  Leave a legacy for future generations by including OHDS in your estate planning.

• Gifts of Securities.  Appreciated stocks can provide you with tax advantages and can be easily transferred to our OHDS stock portfolio.
