Our Community — קהילה

The OHDS Community is a warm, diverse and unique cross-section of families from across the Bay Area. Orthodox, Modern Orthodox, Conservative, Reform and unaffiliated Jewish families join together at OHDS to embrace a deep and meaningful Jewish educational experience.

Our faculty consists of over 30 full- and part-time teachers and educational specialists. In addition to classroom teachers, the faculty includes Resource Room specialists, a school psychologist, and specialty teachers for Physical Education, Art, Computer Science, Performing Arts and Library.

The OHDS administration is made up of a Head of School, Assistant Directors for General and Judaic Studies, a Director of Development, a Director of Admissions, a Business Office Manager and an After School Clubs Coordinator.

In addition to generous donors and fundraising efforts, OHDS is supported by: The Jewish Community Federation of the Greater East Bay and The Jewish Community Foundation, The Jim Joseph Foundation, The Koret Foundation, The Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education & the Jewish Funders Network, The Albert L. & Janet A. Schultz Supporting Foundation of the Jewish Community Endowment Fund, and The Keren Keshet Fund.
