Steven Wight Steven Wight began teaching in OHDS’s middle school in 2005. He relishes and has a passion for teaching earth science to the 6th grade, life science to the 7th grade, and physical science to the 8th grade. He places a strong focus on students taking personal responsibility for the protection and nurturing of the world they live in. Steven also enjoys teaching 7th grade pre-algebra and 8th grade algebra. He received his teaching credential at John F. Kennedy University and previously taught for eight years in the Orinda Union School District. He was on the district math coordinating and curriculum committee and served as a math coach at Sleepy Hollow Elementary. Steven is a lifelong resident of the East Bay, having grown up in Berkeley and Orinda. He is a lover of the outdoors and has recently hiked the John Muir Trail for the second time! Steven lives in Moraga with his son and daughter. |
