Ziva Trau Ziva Trau was born in Northern Israel. She received her BA in history and teaching at Seminar HaKibutzim in Tel Aviv. Ziva moved to Marin County sixteen years ago. Her first work experience was at a small Jewish day school in Santa Rosa, twelve years ago. There, Ziva taught Hebrew and Judaic studies for 1st through 4th grades. It was in that school that Ziva received her training in Tal Am for 1st grade. Ziva has been trained and teaching the Tal Am program since 1995. With her experience, Ziva opened her own afternoon Hebrew school in Santa Rosa and Sebastopol. She created her own curriculum, and taught the students for four years. She also worked in a synagogue, Shomrei Torah. Ziva has been working at Oakland Hebrew Day School since 1999. She has taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades here. Ziva currently teaches Hebrew and Judaic studies in 1st grade and is also working in the Resource Room as a Hebrew specialist. Ziva likes hiking, gardening, and enjoys water sports. She lives in Larkspur with her husband and two children; and she spends every summer in Israel with her family. |
