Lynn Simon Lynn Simon began working in OHDS in 2004 as Director of Development, having worked and volunteered for many years in the Jewish community. Lynn began her work as a Jewish communal professional in 1985 as executive director of Sherith Israel in San Francisco, and has also worked in the campaign department of the Jewish Community Federation of the Greater East Bay, and as director of special programs for Lehrhaus Judaica, the school for adult Jewish studies. In her volunteer life, Lynn has had the honor and joy of serving on the board and as president of Jewish Family and Children’s Services of the East Bay, and has served two years as president of Temple Sinai in Oakland. Lynn holds a double degree in sociology and psychology from Oberlin College, and is a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Program for Jewish community leaders and professionals. Lynn believes strongly in the role that education plays in enriching and sustaining Jewish life, and enjoys helping people connect their passions and interests to the needs of our school through the mitzvah of Tzedakah. In her free time, Lynn enjoys hiking, dancing, biking, reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband son. |
