Bat Sheva Miller
Assistant Director, Judaic Studies

Bat Sheva Miller was born in Beer Sheva, Israel and grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Bat Sheva went back to Israel in 1989 as a journalist, working for several Brazilian newspapers. This gave her the opportunity to travel around the country, from Metula in the north to the Gaza strip and the West Bank. It was in Jerusalem that Bat Sheva met her husband, and it was in Jerusalem that their first son was born. While thinking about educational options for her son, Bat Sheva’s search became a dream that prompted her to pursue a career in education in the United States. Bat Sheva’s second, third and fourth children were born in California. Her commitment to education in general, and to Jewish education in particular, has brought her to OHDS, where she has taught 1st, 2nd, 4th grades and middle school. Bat Sheva holds a Masters degree in Special Education and has completed her coursework in Bilingual Education. She is currently the Assistant Director of Judaic Studies and the Jewish History teacher in grades 7 and 8.
