Ahuva Maoz

Ahuva Maoz is the Hebrew and Judaic studies teacher for Kindergarten and 1st grade at Oakland Hebrew Day School.  She likes to interact with students of all ages at school.  Ahuva has instilled the love of the Hebrew language and the love for Israel in her students since she began teaching at Oakland Hebrew Day School in 1995.  Before she came to OHDS, she worked at Tehiya Day School for ten years.  Ahuva came to the Bay Area from Israel 22 years ago. While living in Israel, Ahuva was a general studies teacher, K-2, for four years.  She was also a director of a municipality where she serviced 120 kindergartens in her community in Israel - working with teachers and students.  Outside of school, Ahuva enjoys dancing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her husband, three children, and four grandsons.
