Richard Klein
Computers Specialist

Richard Klein has been the Computer teacher at Oakland Hebrew Day School since 2003, and is also the system administrator for the school’s computer network. Previously, he taught middle school math and science at private schools in the San Francisco Bay Area, and worked as a programmer, designing educational software for private companies and for the Education Department at the University of California. Richard’s Hebrew day school experience began when he was a student at the Hillel Community Day School in Miami, Florida. Richard holds a BA in Religion from the University of Florida and moved to California to attend the Master of Arts in Consciousness Studies program at JFK University in Orinda. Richard considers it a deep honor and privilege to work with the students and staff at Oakland Hebrew Day School. When he’s not teaching, Richard is a wedding singer, folk dancer and jazz vocalist, and has performed on stages all over the USA, and in countries such as Finland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Mexico and India.
