Lior Jacober Lior Jacober has been involved with OHDS since 1995, when her son first attended Kindergarten in the then-small school on Ridgeway Rd. Volunteering in the classroom during many events and holidays over the school year and in the Judaic Library, she became well known by all of the children and their families. In 1999, she began working as a part-time employee in the library. An additional stint in the front office followed, and occasional substituting, not to mention working with parent volunteers to start up the After School Program that now thrives at OHDS. Lior worked at three local synagogues in their Hebrew and Sunday School Programs while working part-time at OHDS. Sewing for the Judaic silk artist Nancy Katz was, for 10 years, Lior’s other loved vocation. Once a full-time position opened up at OHDS, she filled the roles over the past few years of Assistant teacher for 1st, 5th, 2nd grades and permanent substitute for K-8th . Lior’s B.A. is from Cleveland State University in Philosophy. She also studied at the Cleveland College of Jewish Studies. Her son is now a student at the Jewish Community High School of the Bay in San Francisco. She still sews for the families of OHDS, and especially loves creating beautiful things for B’nei Mitzvot, not to mention weddings and other joyous occasions. |
