Eleanor Hotchkies Eleanor Hotchkies was born in Glasgow, Scotland where she received her teacher training at University of Strathclyde, Jordanhill College. After she married, she immigrated with her husband to Montreal, Canada and later moved to the States. Eleanor has two children; when her children were in middle school, Eleanor went back to university to earn a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters in Education in the area of Reading. She is trained as a Reading Specialist for kindergarten through adults and has worked for many years in the early childhood classroom. She has over twenty-five years of teaching experience in private and public schools in Scotland, Canada, Switzerland and the United States. Eleanor leads a fairly active life - hiking in the Marin headlands, jogging and walking around the streets near her home and is an active member of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. Eleanor dances at classes in Berkeley and Lafayette and does demonstration dancing at the Dunsmuir and Pleasanton Scottish Games. Eleanor is currently the Assistant Director of General Studies in OHDS. |
