Rena Glazer
2nd Grade, Judaic Studies Teacher

Rena Glazer began working at Oakland Hebrew Day School in 2004. Prior to OHDS, Rena taught in Manhattan Day School, and was greatly involved in informal Jewish education programs. Rena is a Stern College graduate and is trained in the Tal Am Hebrew immersion program. Rena has made her mark in the second grade classroom - filling it with love, excitement, and inspiration for her students. Rena’s specialties lie in her creativity, individual attention, a steady and positive level of enthusiasm, and her ability to bring Judaism in Hebrew to life.  Rena has expanded into the middle school teaching 6th grade Jewish History. Rena is a team player and enjoys the camaraderie among her peers. Rena appreciates the OHDS staff and their endless creative and inspirational support. After school hours, Rena is a wife and mom, and she spends much of her time enjoying family and friends. Rena continues to be very involved in informal Jewish education for both teens and adults.
