Kelly Benjamson
Music Specialist

Kelly Benjamson comes to OHDS from Los Angeles, California after marrying her husband who was born and raised in the East Bay. Kelly holds a Masters in Music from California State University, Long Beach and has a love for working with children of all ages. Kelly has performed all over the world in a variety of aspects. She spent her junior year of college studying abroad in England, which gave her the opportunity to sing all over Europe. She has sung with such groups as: Opera Pacific, Kingston University Chamber Singers, General Board of Global Ministries Asia Tour, and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Grammy Choir. She has also had the pleasure of singing at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Richard and Karen Carpenter Center, and the Orange County Performing Arts Center. When Kelly isn’t singing, she teaches students what she knows best – music! She has taught full-time at a public charter in Los Angeles, developing and creating a music program from scratch. Kelly is grateful to call Room 312 her new home at OHDS and has big goals and dreams for the school’s music program.
