Israel Trip

Quotes From Our Eighth Graders

We went to the Golan, to the Judean Desert, to Yerushalayim. All of it was personally, spiritually and physically out of this world. But for me the
most inspirational experience was going to the Kotel for the first time on Friday night. There was a feeling that came like the wind upon me. I felt like
I was home – even though I was halfway across the world. But I was home; home at last.
  — Jonah

I was surprised by how spiritual and moving my trip was. I learned about Israel. I pushed myself a lot physically and emotionally. I felt completely changed by my experience. I will always look back and remember many deep and funny stories. The trip was truly a trip of a lifetime, one that met all of my expectations and more. I hope to be able to go back to Israel soon.  — Charleigh

The trip was amazing! When we had our last meal, I started feeling sad and I wanted to stay. My highlights were spelunking in caves, digging for the artifacts, rafting down the Jordan River and hanging out with all my friends. I had so much fun, I hope I can come back, maybe even stay. I thank Mr. Shinar and Morah Bat Sheva for a great trip.  — Misha

My trip to Israel was a very emotional and spiritual experience. Israel is a home to me and being there with my class was amazing. My connections to Israel, the place of my ancestors, and to Judaism, has strengthened significantly throughout this wonderful trip. I will always have a longing in my heart to hop on a plane and fly to the beautiful and holy land: Israel.
  — Rose

There are not many times that we get to have a memory that
will last forever. But this trip was one of those. There is no way to explain, no words to describe such an unforgettable experience. When asked how the trip was, all I feel I can say is amazing, exhilarating and perfect. Perfect, yes perfect.I don’t believe such a voyagecould have gone better. And for this I say thank you to Mr. Shinar, Morah Bat Sheva, and to my parents. — Jacob
